Philip Reeve studied Art at college and used to illustrate Horrible Histories and Murderous Maths books, before taking the plunge and becoming a full-time writer.

His first series, Mortal Engines, won many awards including the Blue Peter Book Award.  He also won the Carnegie Medal for his gripping tale, Here Lies Arthur.
